Let me introduce myself; I have been successfully leading people for over 17 years with a rich and diverse professional career that has spanned from South America to Canada, from the ground to the highest of heights! After many years in the unionized environment of the airline industry I decided it was time for a complete change; I changed jobs, industries, and even changed countries, moving to Canada in 1995.
Since then, I have been involved with a diverse number of divisions of the finance and banking world, including Telephone Banking, World Markets, and Mortgages & Lending. I hold BSc. degrees in sciences and business with a marketing specialization and a Masters’ degree in business administration. I have also completed my Securities Course, all of this while raising 3 wonderful children with my wife.
As a senior officer in a major financial institution I have managed several business reorganizations that transformed outdated and inefficient business models into resourceful benchmark operations; I am proud to say that I was able to assist most of the impacted people find other opportunities, therefore minimizing the social impact of these changes.
I believe in getting things done; the world today suffers from an unbearable case of paralysis where everyone is waiting for someone else to get things done. There is also an accountability crisis, where no one is responsible for anything and it’s always someone else’s fault. My uniqueness comes from a career with a proven track record of real change and real accomplishments rather than just big talk, and by being accountable to clients and shareholders. I have been a member of the “Canadian Association of Professional Speakers” since 2004 and I teach marketing related courses at Sheridan College.
